We provide the energy so you can make the memories.
About us
The energy we share is what turns life's everyday moments into lasting memories. It's the heat under a home-cooked meal, the light in the window welcoming you home, or the warm vent under wet mittens. We provide the energy so you can make the memories. As a local Alberta retail electricity and natural gas provider, we bring positive energy to homes and businesses across our province. Powered by Albertans for Albertans, we’re here to empower you and empower your connections. All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area. For a current list of retailers you may choose from, visit www.ucahelps.gov.ab.ca or call 310-4822 (toll free in Alberta).

Working for a company that welcomes a diverse work force is much more than an equal opportunity blurb at the bottom of your job posting. It's creating an inclusive workplace where diversity isn't just invited, but celebrated. Developing a holiday program that reflects our diverse workforce is something we're proud to deliver on. Our Flexible Statutory Holiday Exchange Program allows our team members to switch out the "standard statutory holidays" we typically see in our work calendars for days that align with each persons' most important cultural, religious, or personal celebrations. How does your organization deliver on an inclusive and diverse workplace? In what ways can companies improve for 2025 and beyond? #inclusiveworkplace #employee #benefits

When it comes to putting our co-created culture into action, we’re appreciation experts. We’re proud to put a smile on someone’s face, whether it’s our colleagues or our customers. We achieve this by embodying our values of Integrity, Caring, Agility, Safety, and Collaboration — each and every day. Each quarter we give a Üshine Award to one Rümineer who is continually living our core values, helps us forge new paths, is an insightful problem solver and can always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Throughout 2024, our team members made over 1,300 nominations! A true reflection of the pride and appreciation our team members have for where we work and who we work with! Congratulations again to all our winners in 2024!

We're proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta year-round through sponsorship, volunteering, and fundraising. The holiday season, however, is a special time when we shine an even brighter spotlight on Habitat's important cause. This winter season, we hosted three impactful initiatives, with 100% of the proceeds supporting Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. And guess what? We raised an outstanding $35,456.75! 👏👏 1️⃣ To kick things off, we launched an Empowering Albertans Instagram contest. For every share of our contest reel, we donated $5 to Habitat. We also helped out our fellow Albertans, giving away 6 months of free energy to 3 lucky contest winners. 2️⃣ Next, we sponsored photos with Santa at the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market. This was our second year hosting Santa at Spruce and another huge success! We welcomed thousands of people who contributed to Habitat's cause, resulting in $17,865 in donations! 3️⃣ Wrapping up the season was our highly anticipated Winter Wonderfest at ATCO Park, a festive and family-friendly event that attracted over 900 attendees to discover the wonder of winter. Ticket sales raised over $7,790, all supporting Habitat for Humanity. Through various initiatives, we raised an impressive $35,456.75 to support Habitat for Humanity's mission of providing safe and affordable housing. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed, our amazing staff who volunteered, and the community for supporting this cause. We're already excited about all we have planned to continue to support Habitat for Humanity in 2025.
