In the September 13th issue of @NRUpublishing, Matt Durnan highlighted our 565 Kennedy Road project in the article, 'Expanding Housing Options in Kennedy Park: Scarborough Proposal Would Introduce Multi-Residential, Retail to Single-Detached Neighbourhood.' The article discusses the recent intensification along the Kennedy Road corridor, between Eglinton Ave E. and St. Clair Ave E., driven by new Major Streets policies. The development is strategically located on a key transit route, connecting both the Scarborough GO and the Kennedy/Eglinton Protected Major Transit Station Areas (PMTSAs). The proposal includes 113 residential units, 220 sq.m. of ground-floor retail space, and 31 underground parking spaces all equipped with EV charging capabilities. This project creates opportunities for diverse housing options in an area well-served by transit and excellent community amenities. In May, Harry Varvarian from HMV Homes registered one of the first (if not, the first!) Multiplex with a Garden Suite Condominium in the City of Toronto. This development, along with other residential infill developments, contributes to addressing the "Missing Middle" and provides housing options in communities.
