BCcampus on why we are saying goodbye to X. Today, we are announcing that BCcampus will be stepping away from X. This decision was not made lightly. It stems from our growing concern about the direction in which the platform, now called X, has evolved in recent years. The changes in moderation policies and algorithmic shifts have allowed hateful and abusive content to proliferate and have increasingly suppressed critique and diverse perspectives. Meanwhile, the spread of false or misleading information undermines the very foundation of informed, evidence-based conversations—conversations that are essential to the work we do in higher education. We believe that our digital spaces should reflect our values, and BCcampus our core values include being inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist. Continuing to invest time and resources into a platform that feels like it no longer aligns with our values is inconsistent with our mission. We encourage you to connect with us on LinkedIn, subscribe to our newsletter, or visit our website to stay informed about our initiatives and events.
