Join us on March 7th for a special BOLT SpeakOut for #IWD2025 to celebrate this year’s theme of #accelerateaction and the incredible women working in the #construction industry who are building our communities every day. The live discussion will be held virtually on Friday, March 7 from 10:20 am to 11:30 am, to coincide with the second period in schools. An all-female panel will share their experience building successful careers in the construction industry and answer questions from the audience. The session will be recorded and will be available for viewing by subsequent classes in the day. All students and youth are invited to join and watch the session! Currently, only 5% of construction workers on site are women so we are passionate to share their stories and experiences and inspire the next generation of young workers to think beyond traditional female roles. We recently hosted an informative 'Introduction to Skilled Trades' Info- Session at Centennial College, introducing young students to the exciting opportunities in the Skilled Trades. 🏗️ The event featured inspiring key speakers, including Dennis Christie and Daniel Meissner from EllisDon, Abu Hafejee from Sam's Road Construction, and Norbert Costa and Rhiannon Wicks from BOLT Foundation. They led engaging discussions, sharing real-life success stories, valuable industry insights, an overview of the field, and the top skills needed to thrive in these careers. 👷🏽♂️👷🏻 The session concluded with a Q&A panel, providing students with the chance to interact directly with industry leaders. #ExploreSkilledTrades
