WE’RE HIRING A CAMP DIRECTOR FOR 2025 About the Role: The Camp Director demonstrates positive leadership in all of the tasks and responsibilities. You model Camp Misquah values in training, decision making, problem solving and staffing. The Camp Director works with the Executive Director and focuses on planning and camp logistics including: recruiting counsellors, registering campers and managing all administrative tasks. You are responsible for camp operations, working in close collaboration with a leadership team and camp counsellors. The right individual will commence on a part time basis and increase to full time as the workload increases and camp gets closer. ProResp is at the Docs On Ice charity hockey tournament in Ottawa! This exciting tournament will see over 800 physicians from across Ontario lace up their skates and play hockey to raise funds for local charities. This year, all proceeds raised will support Make-A-Wish Canada and Camp Misquah, a non-profit, Ottawa-based, residential summer camp dedicated to creating accessible and memorable summertime experiences for special needs adults and children. Meet the 2023 Co-op Student of the Year Award recipients: 🎉 Jayde Medland is a recent graduate of Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology Interactive Media Design program. Prior to attending college, she graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information, and Technoculture. Jayde recently began her role as a Communications Officer at Natural Resources Canada | Ressources naturelles Canada. In addition, she works as the Director of Communications for Camp Misquah, a camp for people with developmental disabilities. 🎉 Nicole Naccarato from Brock University completed her Spring 2023 work term alongside the President and CEO of Grand River Hospital. Some of her proudest accomplishments included presenting her work and recommendations on the future strategic directions of world-class hospitals to the senior leadership team, meeting the Ontario Minister of Health, contributing to the development of a new neurosurgery program having worked as a neurosurgery nurse herself, and her well-received community engagement strategies for the inaugural KW4 OHT strategic plan.
