October was one of my biggest months in 2024, filled with new beginnings, milestones, and growth! Here’s a look back: 🌟 New Coaching & Consulting: I welcomed new coaching clients and took on a new consulting project, expanding my reach and support for nonprofits aiming to make a greater impact. 💼 Grant Wins: Celebrating some fantastic grant news! In addition to submitting new proposals, I raised over $670,000 for clients and one of my own organizations. Each grant is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with the right strategy and support. ☕ Capacity Café Launch: I launched Capacity Café, a monthly virtual gathering where nonprofit practitioners can connect, share, and learn. Seeing this community come together has been so rewarding! 📝 New Course Intake: Enrollment opened for Grant Writing Accelerator: How to Build a Proposal in a Day, my new course designed to help people craft strong project proposals quickly. 🌐 Website Updates: I also refined my website to better showcase the different ways I serve the sector, making it easier for people to connect and find the support they need. 🎃 Personal Milestones: October also held special moments with my first Thanksgiving and Halloween as a new adoptive mom—so many memories in the making! CFC led a great session today that focused on how nonprofits can enhance their influence on public policy and funding while making a meaningful impact on their communities. The session reminded me the value of strategic engagement, partnership development, and understanding local government priorities to create vibrant, sustainable communities. By fostering strong relationships with municipal leaders, nonprofits can better align their efforts with government initiatives and enhance public services. Reflecting on the day and what we were able to achieve for the organization, I want to encourage dialogue ahead of Local Government Week about both sectors' vital role in community building and the collective impact that can be achieved through collaboration.
