As part of the #CIQS ambassador program, Alexander Ings, PQS is presenting to students at the Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador on Monday, March 3rd as part of the MUN #CareerWeek. The CIQS Ambassador Program offers PQS and CEC members the opportunity to play a key role in the Institute’s student outreach program and advocacy initiatives. #CIQS and #RICS engaged with industry leaders at a joint event on Wednesday evening at The National Club in Toronto. The presentations included an address by CIQS Vice Chair, Seán Hollywood FRICS, MCIArb, MSc C. law, PQS, BSc Q.S., and RICS President Justin Sullivan, as well as a panel discussion on "Delivering Construction and Infrastructure - But for the acute deficit in Human Capital!". CIQS and RICS were pleased to welcome the panelists, Tony Fanelli, Michelle Ajibola, MBA (Welch Scholar), PQS, PMP, Naumaan Hameed, and moderator, Mike Watkinson. #CIQS seeks volunteers for the CIQS YQS Committee. The CIQS YQS (Young Quantity Surveyors) Committee is seeking YQS Members from across Canada (one from each CIQS Chapter region) to attend and participate at CIQS YQS Committee Meetings. All Committee meetings will be held virtually. Purpose of YQS Committee: The CIQS YQS Committee seeks to provide young professionals with a voice and link to their Institute, facilitating opportunities for involvement in leadership through education, networking, and participation. Committee members will have the chance to network, gain valuable resources, and contribute to the success of the YQS community.  To apply, you must be a CIQS member in good standing 40 years of age or younger with a minimum two years of relevant work experience.
