News: Canada’s Digital Services Tax: A Growing Trade Risk. Canada’s Digital Services Tax (DST) is now under even greater scrutiny. Canadian advertisers are already shouldering the cost, adding unnecessary pressure to the Canadian advertising and media industry. “At a time when economic stability and innovation are critical, we urge the federal government to reassess this policy and prevent unnecessary trade tensions,” Shannon Lewis, President, CMDC shared with MiC. High tariffs and escalating disputes impede growth, but with the right policies, Canada can remain a top destination for investment, talent, and innovation. Wednesday night was a wonderful evening! We got to celebrate with the CMDC (Canadian Media Director's Council) the new generation of inspiring contributors from our industry with the YA Future Impact Awards! We were lucky enough to see our very own Aishani Roy, shortlist for the Mentor of the year award!!! Congrats Aishani, you are a wonderful leader and a great mentor to your team, I cannot wait to continue to see you grow! 👏👏 A big shout out to Meredith Menkes for winning Media Leader of the year and Kaity Wong for winning Advocate of the year!!
