📢 Advocating for Change: Empowering Nurses and Improving Access Over the past months, the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) has been strongly advocating for an important change: allowing nurses to certify the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) form. This simple yet impactful adjustment would: ✅ Enhance the efficiency of our health system ✅ Ensure more equitable access to the DTC for Canadians ✅ Empower nurses to work to their full scope of practice We’ve heard from many of our members who strongly support this priority and shared their insights and experiences. Their feedback reinforces the need for this change and its potential to positively impact patients and nurses alike. To make this happen, CNA has sent an open letter to Ministers Chrystia Freeland and Marie-Claude Bibeau, highlighting this request. We’ve also included it as a priority in our federal pre-budget brief. This is about strengthening our healthcare system and supporting Canadians with disabilities. Together, we can make it happen. 💪 https://ow.ly/tAiK50UqZny #NursingLeadership #Advocacy #EquityInHealthcare #DisabilityTaxCredit

Canadian Nurses Association reposted this
ICN President Pamela Cipriano on #Afghan women being banned from #nursing and #midwifery training: “The right of people to timely and accessible #healthcare is dependent on there being sufficient #nurses and #midwives. If women can no longer train as nurses and midwives, it will have a serious and debilitating effect on #Afghanistan’s #healthservices.” https://bit.ly/3Bg0zS0
