Congratulations to the team at our Co-op Ethanol Complex! In December 2024, they marked 1,000 days without a lost-time incident. “This achievement is a result of the hard work and dedication of our team. Together, we continue to make a difference by being proactive in our approach to safety,” said Patrick Weatherald, Management Chair, Occupational Health and Safety Committee. Thank you for continuing to put safety first!
About us
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) does business differently. At its core, FCL is a co-operative that supports other co-operatives that serve people in Western Canada. We aim to create an experience for our team members where employees feel at home here and find success, community, and purpose. We encourage our team members to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop their careers within FCL and the larger Co-op system. FCL is a wholesaling, manufacturing, marketing and administrative co-operative owned by more than 160 independent retail co-operative associations. These retail co-ops own and operate agro centres, food stores, gas bars/convenience stores and home centres.

Here’s to farmers, ranchers, and everyone in between. In celebration of Canada’s Agriculture Day, we say ‘thank you’ for continuing to produce the food that feeds those of us here at home and around the world. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. #CdnAgDay

Go Baby Go (Variety - the Children's Charity of Alberta) is one of our Community Investment Fund recipients. This unique program provides ride-on cars outfitted with specially adapted features like supportive seating and push-button switches to children with mobility limitations. Since 2019, employee giving committees in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Saskatoon have donated $39,000 to Go Baby Go. Committee members are also invited to participate in a build day where they assemble a car. “Afterwards, the families come in, and we get to meet them, introduce ourselves and our company, and show them how the car works. Watching the kids learn to navigate their physical environment and become mobile on their command is amazing,” said Eric Sveinbjornson, Co-Chair of the Regina Giving Committee.

We’re thrilled to share that we have maintained Caring Company status for the eighth consecutive year through Imagine Canada! This designation is awarded to companies who donate an annual minimum of one per cent of their pre-tax profit to non-profit and charitable organizations. “Investing in the communities we serve across Western Canada is a fundamental part of who we are as an organization,” said Meghan Gervais, FCL Vice-President, Health, Safety and Compliance. “To receive the Caring Company certification for the eighth year in a row speaks to FCL’s continued commitment to giving back in meaningful ways on behalf of the CRS and our employees.” Read more: https://bit.ly/4hqN16d
