As a remote-first company located in Canada, we have team members from coast-to-coast. But did you know that we were founded in a small rural town in British Columbia named Logan Lake? Situated in the Highland Valley, Logan Lake was planned and built initially for mining. Logan Lake is picturesque community known for its abundance of outdoor recreational activities, including fishing, hiking, and golfing In the summer of 2021, the community of Logan Lake was evacuated due to threat of wildfire. As the first fire smart (FireSmart™ Canada) community in Canada, the town knew that this day would eventually come – it was not an "IF" but rather "WHEN". A number of our team members, including our CEO, Aaron McGowan, was directly impacted by this event. Surrounded by timber and forests, the community and all of its many years of preparations were put to the test. Following the evacuation order, local filmmaker Vesta Giles has dedicated significant time to capturing the story of Logan Lake and the Tremont Creek fire. Her latest project, a documentary titled "The Test," sheds light on the community's resilience in the face of adversity. As we enter wildfire season once more in various communities throughout North America, including Logan Lake, we wanted to take a moment to share this story as heads off to enjoying the much anticipated May Long weekend. Our team ventured to Portland with the goals of learning, exploring, and expanding our network within the vibrant Drupal community. As a company that crafts digital content management solutions with Drupal, attending Drupalcon 2024 was not just an opportunity—it was an essential part of our continued journey delivering innovation and excellence. The sessions were illuminating, and the chance to connect with fellow Drupal enthusiasts was invaluable. Here's to all the knowledge gained and the new friendships forged. We collaborated with a leading global pharmaceutical company to help them reduce number of independently managed websites by over 95% as part of a significant milestone in their brand evolution journey. Like many large and complex organizations today, our Client was facing significant pressure to reduce overall IT expenditures and costs. Our team supported the cost optimization of our Client's primary digital channel that serves nearly 500,000 unique users a month. Intentionally transparent collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization early in the planning phases, we saw the opportunity to optimize cost by addressing the complex and multi-faceted needs of content governance.
