From startups to sourdough, Josée’s journey led her from Montreal to West Toronto to create The Bread Essentials—a 100% gluten-free and nut-free bakery. 🌾 ✨ After discovering her gluten allergy, Josée turned her passion for baking into a mission to create delicious, preservative-free treats for those with dietary restrictions. Her dedication and perseverance turned challenges into opportunities, bringing wholesome baked goods to the community. 💛 🍞 One of our Toronto DSS squad members, Jasleen, helped Josée apply for the Digital Transformation Grant and Canada Digital Adoption Program and microgrant. These grants enabled Josée to remodel her website, update her branding and boost awareness of her business by channelling funds into social media and paid advertising. Curious about The Bread Essentials? Stop by to experience the love and flavour in every bite! Sophia, also known as SoJay, is the founder, author, and creator of Soulful Colour. Inspired by her passions, creative nature, and a strong desire to promote mental wellness, she founded Soulful Colour to offer unique affirmation colouring books that celebrate diversity, self-expression, and personal growth. Through her books, presentations, workshops, and speaking engagements Sophia connects with others, helping them embrace their uniqueness and cultivate mindfulness. Her mission is to bring warmth, positivity, and empowerment to the world, one affirmation and colouring page at a time. Sophia decided to apply for the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) to enhance her brand’s digital presence and expand her reach to a broader audience. Recognizing the growing importance of a strong online platform, she knew that an improved website and e-commerce system would be key to elevating Soulful Colour’s impact. Sophia shared; “The CDAP microgrant made a big difference for my business's online growth and customer relations. It was extremely important for me to have an appealing, on-brand website with a functional e-commerce platform, and this grant allowed me to focus on finding the right skills and expertise without worrying about the financial investment.” Read more about her program experience here: https://lnkd.in/gEzkrpX5 #DigitalMainStreet #digitaltransformation #smallbusinesscanada #smallbusinessontario #smallbusiness #sme #digitalstrategy #ecommerce #CDAP #canadadigitaladoptionprogram #author #soulfulcolour
