At Dixon Hall, we strive to create more than just housing; we aim to build a nurturing community where everyone feels secure, valued, and supported. One resident beautifully expressed this: “This place isn’t just a home; it’s my chance to rebuild, surrounded by people who care.” The inauguration of 65 Dundas Street formerly known as the Bond Place Hotel is a vital part of our mission to support marginalized individuals in the Downtown East community. Residents will have access to essential services like healthcare, job training, and life skills workshops. A heartfelt thank you to our partners, including Minister Hon. Marci Ien, MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, Mayor Olivia Chow, Councilor Chris Moise, and all levels of the government. Together, we’re making a difference and building a brighter future for all! 🙌❤️

Today, we celebrated the official inauguration of 65 Dundas East, a major milestone in Dixon Hall’s commitment to supporting our community! Our journey with this building began at a critical time. At the height of the pandemic, 65 Dundas East (once known as the Bond Place Hotel) became a sanctuary, offering temporary shelter to over 250 people navigating one of the most challenging periods in recent memory. Since then, we have remained steadfast, providing essential support to those who are marginalized and vulnerable in our City by transitioning this building from an emergency shelter site to supportive housing. Now, 65 Dundas East is a place of stability, growth, and new opportunities for those who need it most. This project represents the largest shelter-to-housing conversion in Toronto and it embodies a holistic approach to supporting the community of Toronto Downtown East. A huge thank you to the City of Toronto, Mayor Chow, Councillor Moise, Hon. Minister Ien, the Provincial and the Federal government, our partners, supporters, and everyone involved in bringing this initiative to life. Together, we’re building a safer, healthier future for our community.
