Carol McGlogan, EFC's President and CEO, releases statement opposing the recent U.S. tariffs announced (and subsequently delayed) on Canadian imports. These tariffs threaten to disrupt North American supply chains, increase costs for businesses and consumers, and put thousands of jobs at risk. EFC calls on both the Canadian and American governments to uphold the fair-trade policies agreed to as part of the USMCA and to find a resolution that supports continued economic growth and cooperation. EFC shall continue to advocate for its members and work alongside policymakers to ensure that Canada’s electrical and automation sector remains competitive and resilient.
