    Are you using the right data to make decisions about your products? A single person creates 1.7 MB of data every second, sounds ridiculous, right? ~ 94% of this data is digital, and ~ 85% of data is actually copies of other data. If one person creates so much data a day, just imagine how much data one company creates. This volume of data is overwhelming, hence it's so critical for companies to organize this data effectively, to facilitate informed decision-making processes. 🤷🏼♀️ Where to start? First, create some order in this chaos, let's try to understand what information is relevant to your decision-making process. How would you do that? #Askyourself: What am I trying to achieve as a business? Understanding your objective allows you to narrow down and start building your data collection strategy accordingly. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's definitely the starting point. Once your objectives are clearly defined, the next question would be, what will help me to measure progress towards this goal? Let's say that your goal is to improve customer satisfaction. 1. Does this improvement affect only your customers? Or maybe it involves other stakeholders in your company such as sales, marketing, and customer support? 2. What does it mean to improve customer satisfaction? Does it refer to product usability? adoption? customer journey? functionality coverage? 3. How would you understand that customer satisfaction is improved? Is it because the customer will provide high ratings, will refer friends to use the product, will spend more time/more money, or maybe since the customer comes back for more?
