Every year in November, Canada celebrates Lung Cancer Awareness Month. In Canada, approximately 1 in 4 cancer deaths are due to lung cancer. With lung cancer being a leading cause of cancer death in Canada, we strive to bring awareness to the inequalities that affect individuals with lung cancer. In comparison to other commonly diagnosed cancers, such as breast cancer and prostate cancer, lung cancer is not as commonly screened for, despite it being the second most common type of cancer. Improving screening programs and talking to a doctor about the signs and symptoms are important ways to improve early diagnosis, and the overall outcomes for individuals with lung cancer. #lungcancerawarenessmonth

World Diabetes Day occurs every year on November 14th, and this year, the theme is "Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps" Approximately 1 in 10 adults around the world has diabetes. This prevalence is expected to increase to 1 in 8 adults by 2045. As we approach 2025, we aim to reduce the barriers that individuals with diabetes face, such as high costs of insulin and limited access to physician care. These barriers make it challenging for individuals to prioritize their treatment. By bridging these gaps in care, we aim for treatment to become more readily available, and improve the care that patients receive. #worlddiabetesday

So many memories over the past 15 years of people, projects, and places. It all began at Tony Roma’s over BBQ ribs one night. Marcia and I wrote down goals for our next business chapters on the craft paper tablecloth with crayons. Fortunately, many things aligned and our journey began. A big shoutout to our FUSE Health team—your collaboration and integrity have enabled us to be a small but mighty cog in the wheels that turn to improve healthcare, for our families, friends, and neighbours. Thank you to our clients for giving us opportunities to dive into therapeutic areas that align with our team’s passions, and entrusting us to address the needs of healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. Appreciation to our extended FUSE Health team, including employees over the years and business partners along the way, for all your contributions. And a heartfelt thank you to our families and friends who have supported us in ways too numerous to count. Looking forward to the next milestone!

On October 29th, we celebrate World Psoriasis Day! Psoriasis is an imune-mediated disease where the body's immune system becomes overactive and causes skin cells to multiply too quickly. The result is red scaly patches of skin that most often occur on the scalp, elbows and knees. This year's World Psoriasis Day theme is "Psoriatic Disease and the Family". Psoriasis affects over 1 million Canadians, and this year, the focus is on recognizing the challenges that people with psoriatic disease, and their families, face. Symptom management can be challenging for indiduals with psoriasis, and can lead to issues such as low self esteem and anxiety. This can not only take a toll on individuals with psoriasis, but also thier loved ones. Today, we recognize this toll and promote raising awareness and acceptance for those experiencing various psioratic diseases. #worldpsoriasisday
