Recently we received some exciting news: Genus has officially been recertified as a B Corp—with a new higher score of 126.2 (up from 121.2). 🎉🎉 To say we’re proud is an understatement! Maintaining our B Corp certification is an important part of how we publicly demonstrate our commitment to making a positive impact in the world. If you’re wondering what “B Corp” is all about, it’s a designation given to companies that have been third-party-verified for their commitment to balancing purpose and profits. The certification and recertification processes are managed by an independent non-profit, B Lab, which ranks each applicant in five areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. It’s a ✨very✨ intensive process we go through every three years to retain the designation. We’ve taken our score from 88.8 in 2017 to our new, current high of 126.2.
