On November 13th, women from Great Gulf attended the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) Annual Women’s Luncheon, a meaningful event celebrating women leaders across the industry. The keynote speaker, two-time Olympic champion Rosie MacLennan, inspired us with insights on resilience and growth, reminding us that "failure isn’t final." On November 7th, Great Gulf and Brockport Home Systems Ltd. (H+me Technology) joined Georgian College students for a fireside chat on the future of residential home building. Featuring Tad Putyra, Kamal Sabaratnam, and Louis Previte, and moderated by Dr. Bill Angelakos, the panel explored innovation, sustainability, and industry trends. As part of our partnership with Georgian College, we’ve established a scholarship and opened our facilities for applied research—strengthening our commitment to future leaders and innovation. A highlight was meeting the first recipient of the Great Gulf Innovation Scholarship for the Sustainability award. The event served as a powerful reminder of the impact that collaboration between industry and education can have in shaping a sustainable future.

On November 6, 2024, The Great Gulf Group of Companies proudly participated in Take Your Kids to Work Day, a program that invites Grade 9 students from across the province to explore different career paths, business practices, and workplace environments.   We were excited to welcome a group of bright students who had the opportunity to hear from an inspiring lineup of speakers across our organization, including members of our senior leadership team. Each speaker shared unique insights into their specific roles, providing a comprehensive look at the diverse career opportunities available at Great Gulf — from finance and marketing to development and beyond.   The event was a huge success, and we are confident the students left with newfound inspiration, great memories, and even new friends. We look forward to welcoming even more young minds next year!
