Better health outcomes start with better solutions.  Today, we are proud to launch Measuring Better Health for All, GreenShield’s latest Health Outcomes Report. As Canada’s only national non-profit health and benefits company, GreenShield is committed to improving health outcomes for Canadians, creating equity-driven solutions and making positive impacts on our communities – all in pursuit of our mission of Better Health for All. Drawing on the experiences of over seven million Canadians served by GreenShield, this report truly brings our mission to life - with tangible insights on how our team is revolutionizing healthcare and benefits for Canadians: 1. GreenShield is transforming timely care by connecting individuals to healthcare professionals through telemedicine appointments that resolving 92% of issues in the first appointment.     2. Mental health makes up 1/3 of disability claims and drives 70% of workplace disability costs. Through GreenShield+, individuals can access personalized counselling appointments within 24 hours via GreenShield’s advanced therapist matching tool.      3. We believe access to essential medicines is a fundamental right.   Our Essential Medicines program is designed to support the one million Canadians who don’t have access to private prescription drug coverage yet depend on medication to remain healthy. Featured in today’s The Globe and Mail, the program has helped participants like Nina and Terri by providing them with medication at no cost. Giving back is core to who we are as GreenShielders. 💚    Today is #GivingTuesday—a global day of giving—and we’re celebrating the incredible ways GreenShielders make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the winner of the GreenShield Cares Award: Emmanuelle Sansfaçon! 🎉    Last week, our President and CEO Zahid Salman and Mandy Mail, MBA, BBA, Executive Vice President of GreenShield Cares, surprised Emmanuelle with the exciting news.   The award honours an employee who exemplifies an outstanding commitment to our purpose and celebrates those who live and breathe our mission of Better Health for All.     As the winner, Emmanuelle receives $2,500 to donate to the charity of her choice, allowing her to further support the causes she cares most about.     A special shoutout to Amanda Coulter, Michael Desjardins, Rachel Duan, Greg Dufour and Sara Parker, our five runners-up who each receive $1,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.  As a non-profit and an Imagine Canada Caring Company, giving back is at the heart of everything we do. Last week, GreenShield wrapped up our cross-Canada Advisor Summit in Ottawa – home of our newest GreenShield office. Spanning 10 cities, the event showcased our leadership and innovation in addressing today’s most pressing health challenges with our unique Payer-Provider model. We were proud to connect with our valued Advisors, sharing how we’re improving health outcomes for our customers by seamlessly integrating coverage and care through our proprietary GreenShield+ technology platform. We also explored how our bold social impact initiatives are advancing health equity across the country. At the heart of the summit was our mission of Better Health for All. As a non-profit social enterprise, we operate without shareholders, enabling us to prioritize what truly matters—reinvesting our excess earnings to directly support underserved communities. This unique approach empowers us to drive systemic change, breaking down barriers and building a future where every Canadian can achieve their full health and well-being potential.
