"What a great feeling, what a great day!" When the HaiSea Wamis sailed home for the first time, it wasn't just the start of the next chapter for HaiSea Marine, it was the biggest highlight so far of the Seaspan-Haisla Nation journey. A crew of eight Haisla members sailed the HaiSea Wamis on its voyage home, including three generations of the Ross family; Ed Ross is a deckhand with HaiSea Marine, his stepson, Craig Windsor, and two grandsons, Bradley Windsor, and Christian Cross, are all HaiSea deckhands. You loved the photos so much, we had to share the footage too 🎥 The HaiSea Wamis is departing the Vancouver Harbour for the final time this weekend, to sail home to Kitamaat Village. It will be joined by the rest of the HaiSea Marine fleet by mid-August, where they will prepare for the opening of the LNG Canada facility, coming online later this year. For many generations, Haisla Nation has successfully navigated the waters of the Douglas Channel. With HaiSea Marine, they will be continuing to do so in one of the greenest tugboat fleets in the world.

‘The Flying V’ by HaiSea Marine HaiSea Marine celebrated the arrival of the final ship in its fleet, the HaiSea Warrior, by sailing through the Vancouver Harbour, Deep Cove, and up Indian Arm to test out various formations, and put on a show for local kayakers, paddlers, and boaters. What was just a dream a few short years ago, the greenest fleet in the world is now complete. HaiSea Marine is now celebrating the official naming and blessing of its new floating operations facility – HaiSea Zewén - which will be the home base for the world’s greenest tugboat fleet ⚡ The Zewén facility, built by Pacific Marine Construction on Wei Wai Kum territory in Campbell River, was purpose-built and designed to withstand the extreme tidal range in the Kitimat region. To celebrate its naming and unveiling, HaiSea was joined by representatives from Haisla Nation, Wei Wai Kum Nation, and LNG Canada inside the Zewén. The new floating facility is now ready to be transported up the Douglas Channel to Kitimat, where it will be based to support HaiSea’s operations.
