  • We asked Luis Martin Acosta Palma, one of the newest members of our support team, to share his favorite features of Odyssey, and he highlighted the advanced administrator permission system. Here's what he had to say: Effortless Permission Setup: Odyssey simplifies administrator setup with Security Groups, which act as permission templates. When adding a new administrator, you can apply these templates or even import the privileges of an existing administrator, saving time and ensuring consistency. This eliminates the need to assign permissions from scratch, making the process efficient and user-friendly. Granular Control, Maximum flexibility: Odyssey provides precise control over permissions. For example, when granting an administrator the ability to pulse doors, you can exclude specific doors, limiting their access as needed. Additionally, permissions go beyond a general "Manage Users" option. Administrators can be set to view-only, restricted from editing or deleting, and much more, ensuring tailored access for every role. Contact us at sales@hartmann-controls.com to learn how Hartmann can elevate your security management to the next level. #technology #permissions #administrator #accesscontrol

  • This year, our very own David Collart hit a major milestone—10 years with Hartmann Controls! Starting in tech support, Dave quickly became a trusted resource for customers and colleagues alike. Now, as our Product Manager, he’s been a key part of shaping our success, bringing fresh ideas, steady leadership, and a strong connection with our customers to everything he takes on. Reflecting on his journey, Dave shared, “Our team has come such a long way the last 10 years, and it’s been a very fulfilling journey evolving our solutions to this ever-changing industry. I know it sounds stereotypical, but it truly feels like everyone at Hartmann is part of a big family, and we’re all very motivated to help each other and our partners grow. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 will bring.” Over the years, Dave has attended countless tradeshows, solved tough challenges, and made lasting memories with the team. To show our appreciation, Andy and Glenda sent Dave, his wife, and their daughter to Disney World for a well-earned family getaway. It’s a small thank-you for a decade of dedication and impact. Dave, we’re so glad to have you on this team. Here’s to 10 years of great work and all the adventures to come!

  • At Hartmann Controls, we believe in giving back, which is why we were so excited to donate $5,000 and a basket full of toys and supplies to the Barrie Ontario SPCA. The work they do to care for animals and find them loving homes is truly inspiring, and we’re proud to support their efforts. But it turns out, we didn’t just give, we gained something too. Andy and Glenda Hartmann fell in love with a sweet German Shepherd puppy named Macey, who’s now part of the Hartmann family. And that’s not all, one of our team members was so charmed by a cat named Herbert that they put their name down to adopt him as well! we would like to extend a huge thank you to The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society in Barrie for all that you do. Supporting your mission was already rewarding, but the bonds formed that day made it unforgettable. #HartmannControls #SPCA

  • Last week, the Hartmann Controls Team had the chance to visit New York City, and it was certainly a week to remember! A huge highlight for us was co-hosting a private dealer event with one of our amazing partners, Brooklyn Low Voltage Supply. It was a perfect chance to step away from the busy show floor and enjoy some great food, conversations, and laughs with a group of awesome people! ISC East 2024 was also a huge success! It's always great to see so many security professionals coming together to share ideas and explore what’s next. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to chat, share insights, or just said hello! We’re already looking forward to next year! #hartmanncontrols #newyork #isceast2024 #nyc
