  • 🎁 Day 24: A Message of Gratitude from the Inflamed Brain Alliance As we conclude our Unwrap Awareness campaign, we want to thank every supporter, advocate, and ally. Your generosity, compassion, and commitment to improving care for those affected by PANS and PANDAS in Canada have been instrumental in our efforts. This year, together, we’ve: 💙 Advanced the soon-to-launch Canadian PANS Registry to drive critical research. 🩷 Empowered young adults and caregivers through peer support programs. 🧡 Spent the past half-year steadily planning the May 29-30, 2025 conference to bring experts, families, educators, and clinicians together for meaningful collaboration. We know the journey can feel long and frustrating, especially for families seeking providers who truly understand. Your support helps us keep pushing for change, one step at a time. From all of us at the Inflamed Brain Alliance, thank you for being part of this effort to unwrap hope and build stronger connections within the PANS PANDAS community. Warm wishes, The Inflamed Brain Alliance #UnwrapAwareness #ThankYou #PANS #PANDAS #Hope

  • 🎁 Day 22: The Gift of Hope A year ago, a family felt like they were living a nightmare. Their once-vibrant daughter became unrecognizable after a sudden onset of debilitating symptoms—crippling anxiety, tics, and obsessive behaviors. They felt lost, with no answers and nowhere to turn. After months of searching, they connected with a physician familiar with PANS PANDAS, who identified the condition and initiated targeted treatments. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but with a combination of medical care and support from a PANS PANDAS community, she began to heal. Today, she’s back to her creative self, enjoying art classes and laughing with her younger brother. While we celebrate her progress, we remain committed to a future where no family has to face the roadblocks that so many others have endured—where awareness, resources, and care are accessible to all. Your support makes this vision possible. Together, we can ensure that every child has a chance to thrive. https://lnkd.in/geZyM5QT ✨ Let’s continue giving the gift of hope. #UnwrapAwareness #PANS #PANDAS

  • 🎁 Day 21: The Need for Education in the Medical Community Medical professionals play a vital role in diagnosing PANS/PANDAS, yet many remain unfamiliar with this condition. Educating healthcare providers is critical to improving diagnosis rates and ensuring children receive timely and appropriate care. At IBA's Unfolding PANS PANDAS Conference, we’re prioritizing medical education and awareness to reshape the future of care. Together, we can advocate for better training and understanding within the medical community. Donate today to help us advance medical education initiatives and provide hope to families. https://lnkd.in/geZyM5QT #UnwrapAwareness #PANS #PANDAS #MedicalEducation #Awareness #UnfoldingPP25

  • 🎁 Day 20: The Need for More Research Research into PANS PANDAS is still in its early stages, leaving many families waiting for breakthroughs and answers. IBA’s Canadian PANS Registry will be a groundbreaking tool. By collecting data on how this condition impacts children and adults across the country, the registry will empower researchers to uncover critical insights, advance understanding, and develop more effective treatments. While progress is being made, we know the path to a cure requires sustained funding and dedicated resources. Families deserve hope, and with your support, we can accelerate research that will change lives. Donate today to help us fund vital initiatives like the Canadian PANS Registry and bring us closer to a brighter future for children with PANS PANDAS. https://lnkd.in/geZyM5QT #UnwrapAwareness #PANS #PANDAS #Research #CanadianPANSRegistry #Hope

  • Support PANS PANDAS Research Funding for PANS PANDAS research is critically limited. @AgalliuLab’s work to uncover how Group A Strep triggers these syndromes needs your help to continue. Please consider donating before the end of 2024 to keep this vital research moving forward. Every contribution brings us closer to answers. #PANDAS #PANS #ResearchMatters

The path to scientific discoveries is not easy and requires a lot of funding. If you are interested in us continuing our work to unravel the mechanisms by which Group A Strep trigger PANDAS/PANS in the brain please consider DONATING to the @AgalliuLab as a gift at the end of 2024. Unfortunately @NIHFunding for these orphan syndromes is very limited and even private organizations who claim to support our work, rejected our grants. So I’m asking for donations to keep our work going on this area. https://lnkd.in/eCu4Xe8g

  • 🎁 Day 18: Struggling with the Emotional Impact of Uncertainty The unpredictability of PANS PANDAS is one of the most challenging emotional hurdles families face. A mother shares her experience of living with constant worry and fear as her child’s symptoms would suddenly worsen without warning. The uncertainty of not knowing when or if the next flare-up would occur made every day a struggle. With perseverance, the support of medical professionals, and a caring community, she found strength to keep going. This story sheds light on the emotional rollercoaster families endure and highlights the critical need for compassion and support. Your donation helps us provide essential resources to families navigating this journey. https://lnkd.in/geZyM5QT #UnwrapAwareness #PANS #PANDAS #SupportFamilies
