As we wrap up our speaker series for the semester, JMIS is pleased to have welcomed guest speakers from BMO Capital Markets, CN Investment Division (CNID), PSP Investments (Canada Growth Fund), and Portage . They shared valuable insights across investment banking, public equities, energy transition, and venture capital, offering a deeper understanding of these industries and their key dynamics. We would like to thank all the speakers who took time out of their day to support our program and share their expertise. We are thrilled to share an engaging schedule of activities for the upcoming academic year. The fall semester will begin with a series of seminars and guest speakers designed to educate students about capital markets and offer practical strategies for entering the industry.   As we move into the winter semester, we have an array of engaging and exciting events planned for the investment society. These include our Alternative Investments ("Alternatives") Conference, and a stock pitch competition in partnership with FISA. In addition, we will continue to host guest speakers and seminars on Wednesday evenings. Our inaugural session, “Intro to JMIS,” will take place on Wednesday, September 11th. We look forward to seeing you there!

The John Molson Investment Society is excited to announce the appointment of Kenneth Sodjinou alongside the returning Eyal Zelinger as Directors for the 2024-2025 term. Both Kenneth R. Sodjinou and Eyal Zelinger have been integral members of JMIS for the past three years and will ensure continuity and steady progression of JMIS.
