This February, KF Aerospace is rallying for better mental health by participating in the Canadian Mental Health Association's Push-Up Challenge!   KF employees who participate will complete 2,000 push-ups over 18 days, and KF will donate $10 to the CMHA for every employee who signs up (up to $5000).   We’re looking forward to getting fit and donating some money to a great cause! KF is proud to be a Transport Canada Approved Training Organization (ATO) to provide maintenance training and assessments, and we’re excited to leverage this cutting edge technology to provide the best training possible for our employees! Here’s the backstory ➡️ Two years ago, KF conducted an employee survey to learn how we could best support our team. One key challenge that emerged was the difficulty many employees, especially women, were facing in finding reliable childcare. For some, it was even creating a tough decision about whether to return to work. We take employee feedback very seriously – so seriously, that we decided to work with our partners to build a child care centre onsite at #YLW! The Kelowna Airport YMCA Child Care Centre is a collaboration between KF Aerospace, YMCA of Southern Interior BC, Kelowna International Airport - YLW and BC Provincial Government, and it has quickly become an invaluable resource for working parents in our community. Yesterday, KF Aerospace and SkyAlyne announced the successful acquisition of seven King Air 260 aircraft from Textron Aviation in support of the RCAF Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. The King Air 260 will be used for all multi-engine pilot training within the FAcT program, which KF will deliver at our #YPG base. As SkyAlyne transitions to becoming Canada’s sole military aircrew training provider, we’re excited to draw upon our decades of expertise with Textron aircraft to provide the highest standard of multi-engine training for the next generation of RCAF pilots and aircrew. “Acquiring the Beechcraft King Air 260 for FAcT reinforces our commitment to providing outstanding military pilot training with proven, high-performing aircraft at Southport. KF Aerospace has been proud to operate and maintain the King Air C90B for nearly 20 years as part of the current training program and we’ve built a strong foundation of expertise on this airframe.
