Since joining Lithuania’s diplomatic service in 1992, he has held senior roles, including Deputy Advisor on National Security and Foreign Policy to the President of Lithuania, Diplomatic Advisor to the President, and Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs. For his contributions to Lithuania’s foreign policy, he was awarded the Cross of Commander of the Order for Merits to Lithuania in 2003. His international experience includes serving as Lithuania’s Ambassador to Poland and Japan and as a non-resident ambassador to Australia, the Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Lithuanian #Independence Day was marked across Canada by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Canada and community organizations 💛 💚 🧡 🔹In Ottawa, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Canada hosted a reception with officials, diplomats, and the Lithuanian community. The Lithuanian flag was raised at City Hall, followed by a community concert. 🔹In Vancouver, Lithuanians held a hike and a tribute to Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 veterans. 🔹Toronto featured a concert by the Vilnius Quartet and pianist Ilona Beresnevičienė, a Mass at Resurrection Church, and an event at "Vilnius Manor." 🔹Montreal hosted a concert by kanklės player Jausmė Elena Stonkutė. 🔹On February 16, Niagara Falls and City Of Hamilton Hall were illuminated in #Lithuania’s national colors.
