⚖️ Balance isn’t a destination—it’s a journey. And it’s one that every leader must prioritize, not just for their team but for themselves. Why does balance matter so much? Because it’s the foundation for mental health, productivity, and fulfillment. When we achieve balance, even temporarily: ✔️ We’re more present and productive. ✔️ We set the stage for higher levels of success. ✔️ We create the space to make better decisions—at work and, more importantly, in life. But let’s face it: balance isn’t something you achieve once and keep forever. It takes ongoing effort, intention, and the right tools to maintain it, especially in today’s fast-paced work environment. That’s where the Psychologically Safe Leader Method program comes in. This program gives you the actionable strategies and frameworks you need to foster balance at work—for yourself and your team. You’ll learn how to identify workplace stressors, improve psychological safety, and lead with intention to create a thriving environment for everyone. 💡 Bonus Alert! Register by January 31, 2025, and gain access to an exclusive FREE webinar designed to help you implement simple, impactful techniques to promote balance and prevent burnout at work. ✨ Your team looks to you for guidance—show them what balanced leadership looks like. Leadership Green Flags Great leaders support work-life balance and empower employees to set boundaries! Here’s how: ✅ Models Healthy Boundaries – They take time off and avoid late-night emails. ✅ Openly Discusses Boundaries – They ask about capacity and encourage conversations around workload and flexibility. ✅ Respects Non-Work Time – No calls or emails outside work hours unless it’s urgent (and clearly say so). ✅ Creates Psychological Safety – Employees feel safe saying “no” and are thanked for setting boundaries. ✅ Sets Clear Expectations – Priorities and deadlines are communicated upfront, with clarity on what’s truly urgent. When leaders model these behaviors, everyone wins! How are you creating space for balance in your team? Let us know in the comments! 👇 Don't forget our End-of-Year sale is on until December 31, 2024! As I glance at the calendar, I’m amazed at how quickly 2024 is drawing to a close. The days have felt long, but the year itself has flown by. It’s hard to believe how much can happen in just twelve months, and I’m reminded again that time is a precious thing. I’ve always believed that taking a moment to reflect on the past year—what we've learned, what we've achieved, and even what we’ve struggled with—can give us invaluable insights as we step into a new year. Setting intentions isn’t just about planning for the future - it’s about understanding where we’ve been and how we can continue to grow. I hope this workbook offers you the space and encouragement to pause, reflect, and thoughtfully plan ahead. May it help you celebrate your accomplishments, learn from the challenges, and set meaningful goals for the year to come. Sending many warm wishes for a safe and joyful holiday season! Telling an employee who’s feeling overwhelmed with work that everyone is feeling overwhelmed at work isn’t going to help alleviate their stress. In fact, it’s going to make them feel dismissed and that their struggle doesn’t matter as long as they’re producing. Instead, we want to affirm their experience and remove some of the overwhelm or stress they may be experiencing. One way to do this is to review the employee’s current responsibilities or assigned tasks. As they’re sharing, make a list of what’s on their plate. Begin to rank them in order of importance. Let them know what “success” looks like to you. Some employees will only consider a task complete when it’s perfect, while you, the leader, don't. Once they clearly understand the expectations, ask them how long they may need to complete the task. Begin to map out their tasks over the next few weeks and tell them to come to you if adjustments need to be made. This can help remove the distraction that can come with overwhelm and give employees clear direction that can help them feel grounded. Looking for more language you can use when engaging employees in ambitious conversations? Register for the Psychologically Safe Leader Method program today! Register before December 31, 2024 using coupon code CHEERS15 and get 15% off!
