Nolan Quinn, Ontario's Minister of Colleges and Universities | Collèges et Universités, on a visit to Larus Technologies to witness the incredible innovations shaping the future of AI, ML, and Big Data Analytics. Larus, one of Mitacs’ 4150+ industry partners in the province, is currently hosting two Mitacs interns. They are a shining example of how our partnerships accelerate R&D and drive innovation. These talented interns have played a key role in advancing Larus’ cutting-edge technology while directly improving business outcomes. Mitacs has also served as a vital talent pipeline for Larus, with many former interns transitioning into full-time roles. My latest paper, "Leaf pigmentation in Cannabis sativa: Characterization of anthocyanin biosynthesis in colorful Cannabis varieties," which also forms the final chapter of my PhD thesis, is now peer-reviewed and published! This manuscript represents the culmination of extensive research, establishing a framework for advancing discoveries in cannabis sequencing and metabolomics. It highlights the investigation of colorful cannabis varieties and the biosynthetic pathways underlying their vibrant pigmentation.
