Ontario's first Sikh-Punjabi focused long-term care home. Opening in 2026.

About us

Niwaas Long-Term Care is a not-for-profit, culturally responsive long-term care home set to open in 2026. Niwaas will be the first Sikh-Punjabi focused long-term care home in Ontario, meaning our residents will receive care in an environment that reflects and honours their religious practices, cultural heritage, and Punjabi language. Niwaas has been approved for 160 beds and will also offer a dedicated Alzheimer's and Dementia wing. Construction will begin in late 2024, with doors opening in 2026. This project is by the Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Centre Brampton.
