  • Have you utilized askforhelptoday.ca yet? If you are looking for support and you are not sure where to start, this simple onboarding process is for you! 1. Answer a few simple questions to help find the right psychologist. 2. OPA will contact you within 48 hours to conduct an intake survey. Upon completion of the intake, our navigator will match you with a psychologist that meets your needs and preferences. 3. A psychologist will contact you a few days later to book an appointment (Psychologist fees will be discussed up front when booking)

  • The Ontario Psychological Association and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is pleased to offer a joint webinar on Monday January 27, 2025 from 12-130pm. Take a look back through your camera roll, your task lists, your journal, and anything else that acts as a reminder of how far you have come. If you are a student, it can all feel like a bit of a blur, so take the time you need to celebrate yourself for how far you have come.   • New Podcast Episode 🎧 Tune in to hear from Willie Handler as he discusses his latest book 'Out From the Shadows: Growing up with Holocaust survivor parents. https://lnkd.in/gRRzf7dd Willie Handler has reinvented himself on several occasions throughout his work career. He has been a hospital administrator, a government policy manager, an insurance expert, and consultant. Following his retirement from the Ontario public service, Willie began a writing career. He has published three fiction novels and numerus journal articles over the past few years. He is a member of the Canadian Authors Association, Writing Community of York Region, Toronto Chapter of Sisters in Crime, and the Stephen Leacock Association. Willie is active in Toronto’s Holocaust second generation and third generation survivor community, participating in educational programs, commemorative events, and group discussions. He is also a volunteer at the Toronto Holocaust Museum, where he assists students and visitors as they make their way through the museum’s gallery. Willie has spoken online and at in-person events on the Holocaust and his family’s experience.
