Check out this pic from where you can just make out the "A CAM" MultiDyne VB series fiber optic transceiver. This was the world's first 10 card slot unit (VX) that was customized for the stereoscopic camera rigs with support for the requisite amount of 12G and 3G-SDI I/O in addition to Genlock, Timecode, Serial Data and multiple 1G Ethernets over one fiber cable. Since then, the VB series has continued to solve signal transport problems in all kinds of exciting projects and markets and now supports HDMI 2.0, 10GbE and POE++ for advanced but simple PTZ extension systems. It is available in 2, 4, 6 and 10 card slot configurations so you can really dial in the amount of space and power needed for an application.
