Recently, Team Pennecon took to the ice with Team Gushue! We swapped our work boots for curling shoes and hit the ice for an unforgettable "Funspiel"🥌 Brad, Mark, their coaches, and friends from the curling community guided us through the basics of the game before leading us into a friendly three-end competition. Nothing like a little co-worker rivalry for the ultimate bragging rights! 😂🏆 Learning from Brier, Olympic, and World champions doesn’t happen every day, and we are grateful for the experience! Huge thanks to Team Gushue for sharing their skills, coaching us through the game, and making it such a fun and memorable time. This past Friday, members of our HR team attended the Office to Advance Women Apprentices Newfoundland and Labrador Employer Forum to discuss ways to attract and retain more women in the trades. The event sparked great conversations about what’s working, where there’s room for improvement, and how we can all contribute to positive change in the industry. Pennecon is proud to work closely with OAWA, meeting regularly to explore project opportunities and initiatives.
