Tomorrow is the official kickoff of the 2024 Spaceport America Cup! Here they are - the top 38 teams from across the globe that have advanced to the finals of the 2024 University Rover Challenge! Come late May, these teams will showcase their innovation and engineering skills, set against the backdrop of the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah. These top teams come from an astounding initial pool of 102 teams vying for a coveted spot. Huge props to all participating teams for their dedication and hard work! Some snaps from last month's first-ever Winter Edition of the Canadian International Rover Challenge! ❄ Since 2017, CIRC has hosted a summer event in Drumheller, Alberta. University teams design and build a Mars Rover, and bring it to the competition, where they must put their prototype rover through a series of challenging scenarios. This was the first year for the winter event, held in Niagara, Ontario. There was no snow, but lots of challenges, camraderie and fun! Congratulations to all teams who participated in this inaugural event.
