"When you donate to the QEH Foundation, you become an invaluable part of our team, standing with us in the operating room as we perform hundreds of life-changing surgeries each year." — Dr. Daniel Costa, Urologist (QEH) A specialized operating room table enables our surgical teams to perform complex procedures on patients facing urological conditions such as kidney stones, bladder cancer, and prostate disease – ensuring that patients can stay close to home here in PEI. This table is now at the end of its life and needs to be replaced. The QEH Foundation's Annual Friends for Life Campaign is raising funds to meet the critical medical equipment needed to keep these essential services here in PEI. 🧡 We need your help! Every single donation counts towards helping our surgical teams deliver top-quality urological care to more than 700 patients each year. To support this campaign, please visit http://qehfoundation.pe.ca or give us a call at ☎️ (902) 894 -2425.

🎉 On this Giving Tuesday we extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary for their incredible $150,000 leadership gift to kickstart our Friends for Life Campaign. This generous contribution represents 10% of the $1.5 million goal to replace advanced equipment for Urology Services that supports more than 700 life-changing surgeries each year, including procedures for kidney stones, bladder cancer, and prostate disease. Help us keep the momentum going – donate online or in-person at the QEH Foundation office to ensure you receive your 2024 tax receipt before year-end. With the postal strike affecting mail delivery, online, phone call, or in-person donations are the best way to avoid delays! Every gift makes a difference. Together, we can keep urology care close to home for Islanders. 🧡 https://lnkd.in/gK2kD4sJ

Patrick Ross, owner of China Garden in Charlottetown, and his son Max recently stopped by the office with a delicious lunch for the Foundation team — a post-Yuletide Gala Auction tradition. It was the perfect opportunity to thank him for the restaurant's egg roll fundraiser in support of the QEH Endoscopy Unit! Diagnosed with Crohn's disease 26 years ago, Patrick has undergone dozens of visits, procedures, and surgeries at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Through his journey, he witnessed firsthand how vital donations are in ensuring the QEH remains equipped to provide exceptional care for Islanders. Thanks to incredible community support, China Garden raised $3,512 from egg roll sales, far surpassing their original goal of $2,000! A huge thank you to Patrick, Nadine, the China Garden staff, and everyone who purchased egg rolls or supported the fundraiser. Your generosity is helping fund critical medical equipment needs at the QEH. 🧡

“We care for the patients we see every day and are dedicated to helping them live their healthiest and happiest lives. This new technology will enable us to enhance our level of care and advance cancer screening for Island residents.” — Dr. Jeremy Beck Tickets for our Annual Yuletide Gala Auction on Saturday, November 23 are on sale now 🌟 https://qehyuletide.ca/ By purchasing a ticket or becoming a Friend, you are helping to fund advanced medical equipment and technology for our healthcare teams and their patients. 🧡 Funds raised through this year's event will support the QEH Endoscopy Unit. Notably among them is the GI Genius, an AI system that helps doctors identify polyps during procedures. This piece of technology can improve adenoma detection by 30%, allowing more polyps to be found and removed earlier, reducing the risk of them turning into cancer. 🎟️ For tickets and more info, visit https://qehyuletide.ca/ 📷 From left: Kim Sear, RN, Olivia MacDonald, RN, and Dr. Jeremy Beck (QEH Endoscopy)
