🚀 Embracing the Journey: The QuikTix Lead-Up Story 🚀 👀 Pursuing the own business path has been a long time coming. QuikTix is only the biggest project in a long string of stepping stones that lead me to take this leap of faith. As a child new to Canada, I quickly learned that snow was a pain for everyone, so a shovel was my first tool to solve the pocket money problem. In high school, I saw what it takes to run a business by observing friends' parents as contractors who needed help with odd jobs on weekends. That experience taught me that while manual work was satisfying, the mental grind offered more opportunities. I worked at a local bookstore and devoured every business and non-fiction book I could find. I even found unexpected market demand when classmates started paying me for tutoring and project help. University was a turning point. I realized how much I loved bringing people together, which led me to organize parties and events to supplement my student finances. 🎉 After graduation, I decided to lay low for a bit and learn everything I could about the inner workings of the corporate world and delivering scalable value. But I never stopped tinkering with side projects in the evenings. During the pandemic, I discovered a knack for creating high-engagement social media content, leading me to launch grigrowth - a digital marketing part-time venture still going strong today. Through GriGrowth, I’ve helped various businesses and events, including the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade Foundation. I also knew I needed something more scalable for a full-time venture. That’s where QuikTix came in. Before I even knew I’d be looking for a new job, QuikTix showed signs of life with a trickle of revenue - WAY before we were truly ready. That was my sign: this was the project, and I was ready to go all in. Life has a way to push you to the starting line in its own timing, rather than our own planned roadmaps. The key is to keep up and rise to the occasion 💪
