🌍 Reflecting on World Prematurity Day 🌍 Yesterday marked World Prematurity Day, a time to recognize the 15 million babies born prematurely each year who face unique challenges and health risks. At RMH BC & Yukon, we stand with these tiny fighters and their families, providing the support and care they need. 💜 Did you know? 18% of the families who stayed at RMH BC & Yukon last year had babies in the NICU after they were born prematurely. Our Family Service Team has set up a resource table with valuable information and support materials. Families can also enjoy our delightful “themed preemie sock cookies” 🍪, a sweet symbol of the tiny but mighty fighters we celebrate.
