Yesterday, RMHC across Canada hosted our first ever Parliamentary Hill Day. As a collective, we engaged with over 40 elected officials and political staff. A highlight of our Day on the Hill was the member statement shared by Rob Morrison MP. Thank you everyone who joined us on the Hill for your strong and continued support of the essential service RMHC provides families with sick children across Canada.

Earlier this month, RMHC Canada hosted our fifth annual Great Games Challenge, an opportunity for corporate partners to come together, support the mission and participate in some challenging and fun trivia in support of families across the country.  Thanks to our National Mission Partner, Cargill, for their unwavering support of the mission, including supporting this annual fundraiser as a Mission Champion Sponsor It was a pleasure to have you on-site for game day and have Anthony Wu on stage celebrating the important work you are doing to support RMHC across the country. Thank you for all that you do in support of families with sick children all year round. 

The 5th annual RMHC Canada Great Games Challenge brought together RMHC Canada's most generous supporters for some friendly-trivia competition in support of families with sick children.    Thank you to our National Mission Partner, Shell Canada for joining us as a Mission Champion Sponsor. From their touching presentation to sponsoring the Shell Fuel-Up Station, Shell was a critical contributor to making this year’s Great Games Challenge an absolute success.    To everyone at Shell - thank you for your dedication to RMHC across the country and for your year-round support that helps keep families together and close to the care that their sick child needs.

This October, Moneris – alongside their small business customers – will donate $200,000 to RMHC across Canada. This generous contribution will enable 847 nights of stay for families with sick or injured children, keeping them close to the care they need.  Thank you to Moneris for enabling the connection between local businesses and RMHC Chapters across Canada!

RMHC across Canada is committed to meeting the growing and evolving needs of the communities it proudly serves. Yesterday, we celebrated the opening of the 19th RMHC Family Room program in Canada.  We're proud to share that Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario, in partnership with Niagara Health, has opened a new Family Room at the Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharine! This new space will provide families a non-medical environment right within the hospital walls where they can rest, nourish, and find a moment of respite so they can focus on what matters most; caring for their sick child.    Congratulations Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario and Niagara Health!

A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Cargill for their incredible support through the inaugural FORE! The Houses (Winnipeg) and the 19th Annual FORE! The Houses (London) Golf Tournaments! Together, these events raised an astounding $574,720 for families with sick or injured children who count on RMHC programs and services across Canada, enabling more than 2,435 nights of stay. FORE! The Houses is a powerful testament to Cargill’s unwavering commitment to enriching communities and making a meaningful difference in the lives of families across the country.
