There is still time to register for the Victoria-Saanich Citizens’ Assembly Public Meetings this week: Wednesday November 20 (online via Zoom) or Thursday November 21 at the Victoria Conference Centre at Crystal Garden. . All residents are welcome to come and learn about the Assembly’s work, meet some of the 48 Assembly members from Victoria and Saanich who were selected by lottery to participate, hear what others think, and share your perspectives on amalgamation and the future of the region. The Citizens’ Assembly is tasked with exploring the costs, benefits and disadvantages of amalgamation between the two municipalities and making a recommendation to Councils next spring.
