Founder and President of Tapvigo Solutions Inc./Agent for Bodyswaps VR Soft Skills Training/Immersive Educator

This morning, in picture #1 I was at the DMZ in downtown Toronto listening to how black innovator startups are being supported. This afternoon, in picture #2 I was at the Toronto Catholic District School Board Career Day, presenting the work I am doing. I asked myself...How do I get the kids from picture #2 to someday be in picture #1?

2 years later, Let's Talk About Race from Bodyswaps continues to have a deep impact. School boards, colleges, universities, municipalities, community groups, and corporations have recognized the impact of immersive education for behavioral change. I'm celebrating my colleagues Charlene Dunstan and Gail Hunter for helping create this vital tool. https://lnkd.in/em_peX9t

Great two days Centennial College. We worked with over 30 professors and IT support folks looking at how to support and create Immersive Education initiatives across the college. The days included Bodyswaps modules on customer service and exploring ENGAGE XR museum spaces for interactive museums. It's always exciting to see the enthusiasm that comes from educators and IT professionals when using XR. Keep up the good work Michael Young, Rene Chakraborty, Jennifer McIlroy, John Tziortzis, Et.al!

Tapvigo is proud to have supported a recent immersive event with our partners at George Brown College and George Brown College CHCA. With 60 VR headsets and a 360 video of Reid's Distillery Distillery production, attendees participated in a unique immersive dining experience. Our tagging solution provided sustainable and instant communication for all of the participants. At Tapvigo, we're more than just immersive education - we're adaptable and innovative communication for all.

We Make Firefighter Training Engaging & Scalable

CBC Captures Innovation in Action at Centennial College with XpertVR When VR Meets Police Training: A Glimpse Into the Future A Revolutionary Learning Experience Last Friday, an extraordinary class at Centennial College showcased the transformative power of Virtual Reality (VR) in police training, vividly brought to life in a CBC video segment. Abigail's insight, "this way you're able to learn from your mistakes and learn exactly what you're supposed to be doing," encapsulates the essence of VR's impact on education. A Wish from the Past for the Future Howie Page reflected on the profound shift VR brings to training: "To be quite frank, I wish this kind of VR learning was around when I was in training." His sentiment underscores the significant leap forward VR represents in educational methodologies, particularly in law enforcement training. Innovative Teaching Captured on Camera The day's innovative teaching was captured by Laura from CBC, who filmed students navigating VR simulations and conducted insightful interviews. This collaboration didn't just highlight VR's immersive experience; it underscored its role in enhancing educational outcomes. Gratitude and Anticipation A special thanks to Michelle Ervin for orchestrating this media coverage, to Howie for leading an engaging class, and to all students who participated, especially the interview stars, Abigail and Mostafa. Their openness and enthusiasm have enriched this learning journey. Education is a right. Providing it to as many people as possible is the best way to continue building a functioning society. Providing that right for students has become increasingly difficult due to situations beyond your control: chronic public underinvestment in post-secondary education, rising costs of quality education programming, and significant changes to the admissions process by the federal government place pressure on international and domestic students risking the quality of their education. Yet the need to prioritize education remains. It’s time for a new strategy. The solution: Tapvigo’s human-centered learning. Using cutting-edge technology, we offer immersive learning experiences using Virtual Reality (VR) modules that enhance soft skills, provide industry-standard methods of learning, give students a better way to retain the information they learn, and show your commitment to innovation and employability to stakeholders in your community and beyond. We're already working with a range of post-secondary institutions and organizations to prepare them for the future of learning, including George Brown College’s School of Dental Health, Brock University’s Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program, eCampus Ontario and more to address the need to educate the next generation of Canada’s workforce in a cost-efficient manner by introducing them to enhanced learning solutions in the classroom and beyond. Ready to empower students with the tools they need to conquer the future?  Send us a message to start the discussion. #education #technology
