I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Phalen Tynes-MacDonald at The Wire Report to share TELUS’ perspective on the federal cabinet order directing the CRTC to revisit its decision on wholesale internet access – a decision that should enable new entrants to bring more choice and affordability to Eastern Canada, where TELUS is a new entrant. Earlier this year, the CRTC approved TELUS offering our PureFibre Internet service to consumers in Ontario and Quebec. This decision by the CRTC was backed by Canada’s Competition Bureau. But now, the federal government is asking the CRTC to reconsider its decision. Let’s stop this intervention and champion competition!
