  • We had an amazing time at both the Alberta Teachers’ Association conference in Calgary and the North Central Alberta Teachers’ Association conference in Edmonton. We love connecting with educators and diving into conversations about robotics, sustainability, innovation, and the future of our youth. We love sharing ideas and exploring how Ten Peaks Innovation can help empower students to become the next generation of problem-solvers. One way we’re making this happen? The Ten Peaks Innovation XChange Conference this October! A huge thank you to all the teachers who stopped by to chat—your passion for education and innovation is truly inspiring!

  • We are an ally in education and can't wait to connect with teachers and educators next month across Alberta. Stop by our exhibit to chat more about how we are working to develop curriculum and other learning materials to help teachers share more about energy, our environment and climate with students. We'll have Microbial Fuel Cell kits on hand and we can tell you all about our 5th annual 10PIX 2025 Conference, Growing Forward Together: How Biodiversity and Climate Collaboration will define Alberta’s Future happening on Oct 16, 2025 at Red Deer Polytechnic. We truly believe that the more knowledge and understanding young people have about the energy industry, the environment and climate change, the more they can play an active role in Alberta’s and Canada’s energy future. Look for us at: ⛰️The North Central Teachers' Convention, February 6-7. Dagmar will be joined by Anike Edun, the Strategy and Project Coordinator at Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) ⛰️The Calgary City Teachers' Convention, February 13-14. Dagmar will be sharing our booth with Yvanna Ireland of Energy Ecosystems. ⛰️The Central Alberta Teachers' Convention, February 20-21. ⛰️The Greater Edmonton Teachers' Convention, February 27-28. Dagmar will be sharing our booth with Tanya Richens, a Professional Agrologist who is currently serving as the president of TCR Environmental Consulting.

  • Submissions for the contest collaboration with Project Forest, Growing Forward Together: The Tallest Forest, are coming in! We're so excited to see the seeds thriving and starting to shoot through the soil. Look at this future tree being nurtured at Red Deer's St. Francis of Assisi Middle School. Keep up the great work, kids! And remember, sometimes trees like to be talked to, just like house plants.😉 Your next submissions are due by February 15th! Submit them at: https://lnkd.in/gmX4dupp This exciting contest began at our 10PIX Conference last October. We handed out 550 tree-growing kits to 11 schools, and up for grabs is $500 to be put towards a sustainable initiative of the winning school's choice. In June, we’ll announce the contest winners! The best part? Students get to plant their trees in meaningful locations—yards, public parks, school gardens or family land—and watch them flourish for years to come. Want to know more?
