Every bottle of True Wild begins with a spark, and for our co-founder and CEO, Bryce Parsons that spark was the untamed spirit of Alberta. It all started in the shadow of a historic power station, a building that once brought electricity to Calgary. Where others saw a faded concrete industrial building, Bryce saw potential—a place where Alberta’s past could meet its future in every sip of whisky and every bite of fire-kissed food. Fueled by his passion for craftsmanship and a deep respect for the land, Bryce found kindred spirits in fellow founders Neil and Evan who then assembled a team of dreamers, distillers, and creators. 2 Queen street is back, and restored to its former glory, HIDI was proud to be part of this iconic project. Cadillac Fairview Zeidler Architecture ERA Architects Inc.
🏬We’re thrilled to see the long-anticipated reveal of 2 Queen Street West, a historic gem on the corner of Yonge and Queen that has served Toronto shoppers since 1895! Designed in Renaissance Revival style by Samuel Curry and Francis S. Baker, this building has evolved through decades, from its beginnings as P. Jamieson Clothier. 🔨 As part of a major revitalization with Zeidler Architects, we meticulously restored the terracotta and masonry facade, re-creating nearly every exterior detail with a single 1897 photograph as a guide. 🌟 It’s been a long journey, and we can’t wait for you to experience this piece of Toronto’s heritage, reimagined for the future! This transformative project will introduce three iconic brands to North America's busiest shopping destination. Simons: A new 110,000 sq. ft. flagship storefront. Eataly: The fourth location in Canada. Nike: A new two-level flagship store. We are proud to collaborate with Developer – Cadillac Fairview, General Contractor – PCL Construction, & Consultant – The HIDI Group, to help bring this vision to life.
