Donating close to 1000 items in Toronto and Edmonton with the help of the team at DLL 🇨🇦❤️ Because of their contribution and purchasing custom mittens for their team, we were able to donate mittens and socks to the Bissell Centre and Homes First ! The donations came right in time as well as the temperatures dropped to -45c in Edmonton and -15c in Toronto that week ❄️. We were more than happy to share our story and explain how much each pair of mittens meant to the team at their event. Helping the people of Thunder Bay stay warm in collaboration with Air Canada 🇨🇦✈️ Thank you so much to the team at Air Canada for making custom toques for the second year in a row! Because of this, at their request, we were able to send the toques up North to Community Clothing Assistance. Their program allows for the distribution of clothing to those in need in their local city. The 700 toques that were sent up to Thunder Bay will go a long way to help them keep warm in the winter. It often goes unsaid but within our country so many of us live within these major city centres close to the southern border. Shipping supplies, food and other resources to Canadians in more remote areas can be a challenge and is why we were so excited to work with this new giving partner. It was the same passion that made us want to donate toques to all of the provinces and territories in Canada, especially the northern most ones. Last week we worked with the amazing team at STOKE Strength and Conditioning to make custom toques. We met up with Canadian Olympic Gold Medalist Jocelyne Larocque at Good Shepherd Hamilton & Toronto and their amazing team at the Community Support Services facility for Women & Children. It was as great timing for our donation of 100 toques as the dedicated team there informed us they were going to hand them out as holiday gifts for their clients in need. It is always a great experience to connect with our giving partners and help them serve the community. It is also very heartwarming to have the businesses and groups come with us for the donations to see how their contribution makes a positive impact locally. 2000 toques donated all in one day thanks to Toronto Pearson International Airport and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority ✈️ ❤️ We worked to make custom toques for all of Pearson Airport’s staff members through their I Am Toronto Pearson program! Donating to our home town with the help of McMaster University😄. We had the privilege of working with McMaster University where TFTH all started and donate to one of our long standing giving partners, the Eva Rothwell Centre👨🎓❤️. It was amazing to see how they help people in our city stay warm with their clothing room.
