Earlier this month, all three of our studios came together at Blue Mountain for our annual retreat—and what an incredible three days it was! New team members had the chance to learn about our history, we celebrated staff and project milestones from the past year, and we fully embraced everything Blue Mountain had to offer. A huge shoutout to Two Roads Team Building for leading an engaging workshop that brought us together, sparked great conversations, and filled the room with laughter! As we continue to strengthen our studio culture, we look ahead with excitement. The Christmas sweaters are out, and the holiday spirit is alive and thriving across all our studios as we head into the holiday break!   Team members from our Peterborough, Collingwood, and Kitchener studios came together to celebrate with our annual holiday lunch and Secret Santa exchanges, a perfect way to wrap up the year.   Please note that all studios will be closed for the holidays starting December 23rd. With the holidays just around the corner Unity recognizes the importance of supporting those in need. Milestone alert at the new Kitchener Indoor Recreation Centre for the City of Kitchener. Steel erection is officially underway with the first columns of the facility’s aquatic centre installed on Nov. 15th, in line with the project schedule.     After months of excavation, formwork, and geothermal works at RBJ Schlegel Park, the surrounding community can now visualize progress above ground, marking our transition from digging down to building up!    We’re also on track to complete the rest of the aquatic centre’s structural steel installation by January 2025. At completion, the end-to-end length of the 17 aquatic centre trusses will be 580m (taller than the CN Tower!).    Kudos to the entire project team!
