We are beyond thrilled to present to you the first in a series of videos featuring major milestones in 2024 for Uptown business owners! The first in this series is Alnoor Keshvani who founded LOOP Clothing. WATCH: https://lnkd.in/gXqprTVy Music, clothing, art: in 2004 LOOP was born out of a desire to bring all of those together under one roof to create a space for culture and community with a core and guiding principle of karma. 20 years later, after overcoming many hurdles, celebrating personal milestones, and creating a successful business Al moves on to a new chapter in life. While LOOP will not have a physical presence in Uptown Waterloo, the impact of its presence and the contribution Al has made, and continues to make to our community is palpable (and PS, you can still shop online at bricksandbonds.ca). Well, you know what they say, ‘this is why we can’t have nice things’… 🙄 In all seriousness though- last night at some point The Heart of Uptown was vandalized. As you can see, it’s not just a small bit of graffiti or anything remotely resembling artistic expression. It’s a little shocking, and frankly disappointing that anyone in our community would feel compelled to vandalize The Heart- this big, bold symbol of love in our community-in this way. This individual, or individuals clearly took their time to create as much damage as possible to this installation, so in the time it took them to do that if anyone in the community saw it going down we’d really appreciate hearing from you.
