Chief Innovation Officer @ CIUSSS West-Central Montreal | Head of OROT - Connected Health Innovation Hub
📢 Exciting New Chapter Ahead! I am honored to announce my appointment as the first Vice President, Innovation and Chief Health Innovation Officer at the University of Waterloo, St. Mary’s General Hospital, and Grand River Hospital. Beginning January 13, 2025, I will have the privilege of joining a remarkable team to lead the CareNext Coalition—a pioneering partnership dedicated to transforming healthcare in the Waterloo/Kitchener Region and beyond. The CareNext Coalition represents a bold vision: to bring clinicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs together to advance integrated care, enhance health outcomes, and build an ecosystem that truly meets people where they are. Together, we aim to harness the strengths of public institutions, foster innovation, and shape a sustainable healthcare future. As I reflect on this opportunity, I am deeply grateful for the experiences that have prepared me for this role. From building OROT, the Connected Health Innovation Hub at CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal | CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, to fostering global collaboration through Hacking Health Global, and driving change within the United Nations, my journey has been fueled by the belief that partnerships and innovation are at the heart of meaningful transformation. The Waterloo/Kitchener Region is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation, blending world-class talent, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to addressing the evolving needs of diverse and growing communities. I am eager to contribute to this dynamic ecosystem and to work with extraordinary leaders like Mark Fam, Ron Gagnon, and Vivek Goel, who share a deep passion for advancing healthcare innovation. I am especially excited about the potential of the CareNext Coalition to create opportunities for clinicians, students, academics, patients and entrepreneurs to collaborate, experiment, and co-develop solutions that will shape the future of care. Thank you to the University of Waterloo, St. Mary's General Hospital, and Grand River Hospital for entrusting me with this important responsibility. I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues and community to deliver on our shared vision of healthcare excellence.
