🧵 Empowering Lives, One Sewing Machine at a Time 🧵 Your generosity is transforming lives by setting up sewing businesses for families in need! #WalasJourney Wala’s family faced severe hardship, including eviction and relocation to Ibb province while the father searched for work. Thanks to a $550 CAD donation, we were able to purchase a sewing machine, supplies, and cover the cost of a sewing course, as well as essential electricity bills. Additionally, we committed to providing a $100 monthly allowance for 12 months, starting in May, to support the family as Wala established her business. #BahiyasStory Bahiya, a dedicated mother of three, struggled after her husband lost his job. It was challenging to keep up with daily expenses and school fees, resulting in accumulating debt. With a $550 CAD donation, we provided her with a sewing machine and supplies. We also committed to six months of $100 monthly allowances. Bahiya has successfully used these resources to start a sewing business, creating beautiful designs and a reliable income for her family. Khaled's only source of income is from preparing and selling food items from a humble hut in Sanaa, Yemen. Your support has made a world of difference for Khaled and his family. 🛒 With your generous donation, Khaled was able to purchase vital supplies and equipment, including a blender, pressure cookers, a hot plate, propane tanks, and essential food items like sugar, oil, beans, and eggs. These purchases have boosted the efficiency of his small food business and contributed to the financial stability of his family. Here's how we make an impact: ●  Our volunteers personally meet with Yemeni families to understand their circumstances and provide accurate needs assessments. ●  We ensure that funds go directly to families in need, enabling them to establish income-generating projects ●  After delivering donations, our volunteers follow up on progress, sharing detailed reports with us about the families and how the funds were utilized. We aim to 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐬 to become financially self-reliant and enabled to meet their daily needs in the long-term. The struggle in Yemen is 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 to us. Many of us have family, friends, and loved ones affected by the ongoing conflict. That’s why we founded Waseela. We understand that it’s not just about providing a temporary fix but creating sustainable change. At the core of our mission lies a commitment to supporting Yemenis in need to initiate income-generating projects.
