What an incredible year it’s been here in beautiful BC! 🌲💙 Our teams have been hard at work connecting, celebrating, and giving back to the communities we’re so proud to call home. From hosting memorable events to sharing laughs with clients and rolling up our sleeves for local causes, every moment this year has reminded us of the amazing people and places that make this province so special. Here are just a few highlights from 2024 that warmed our hearts: ❄️ Coldest Night of the Year: Westland teams across the province joined forces for the Coldest Night of the Year walk, raising funds to support vital services addressing homelessness and food insecurity. 🍎 Food Bank Drive: Together with local grocers, community food banks, and the Salvation Army, we raised $9,978 and collected 6,199 lbs of food in just one day, helping families in need across BC. 🧹 Adopt-a-Street Programs: Our teams in the Lower Mainland came together monthly to keep neighborhoods clean and welcoming through Adopt-a-Street initiatives. 🏒 BCHL All-Star Game: We proudly supported the 2024 BCHL All-Star weekend in Penticton, cheering on talented players and celebrating this cherished Canadian hockey tradition. 🎒 Backpack Buddies: In partnership with Northbridge Insurance, we donated $5,000 to Backpack Buddies, a grassroots organization fighting childhood hunger throughout the province. 🧸 Teddies for SOWINS: Our Penticton branches collected teddies for the South Okanagan Women in Need Society, spreading comfort to children supported by this vital organization. 🥕 Food Bank Volunteering: Our teams spent meaningful time at the Surrey Food Bank, helping distribute food to families in need in our community. 🎄 Holiday Giving: From partnering with Angel Tree in Port Alberni to supporting the Archway Christmas Bureau in Abbotsford, our teams worked to ensure children in their communities had gifts to open this holiday season.
