    This video demonstrates the intuitive translational and outstanding rotational motion capabilities of a novel kinematically redundant (6+3)-degree-of-freedom hybrid parallel robot developed at the UBC Advanced Robotics Laboratory. The use of gantry-type legs allows for very simple robot geometry/kinematics and can enhance the robot's precision and payload capacity, making it well-suited for manufacturing applications.  Interested in turning it into a CNC machine, a 3D printer, or a laser cutter?
