You may think the Spin Again toy serves just one purpose, but that's far from true. During a recent visit, a child explored the toy in her own way. She labelled the colours, counted the disks, and tried out ideas through trial and error. By letting her lead the way, she shaped her play experience with creativity and curiosity. It reminded us that toys don't dictate play, children do. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

Using everyday items can support speech and language development in children. A bowl and spoon can become tools for playful activities like pretending to stir, using them as drums, or scooping balls and pom poms. We can also use small bowls in the bath to pour and scoop water, or fill a bowl with water and different objects to see what sinks or floats. These activities offer opportunities for learning and interaction. 🥣🧒 #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

The role of sibling support and spending quality play time with our children cannot be overstated. These interactions play a significant role in a child's emotional and social development, fostering stronger family bonds and enhancing learning experiences. By dedicating time to engage with our children through play, we contribute to their overall well-being and create a supportive environment that encourages healthy growth. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

When children engage with nesting materials, they explore spatial relationships while refining their fine motor skills. Through stacking and comparing sizes, such as big versus small, they also build an early understanding of language related to comparison and spatial concepts like inside or outside. By playing with these materials, children begin to understand cause and effect and naturally develop problem-solving skills. The simple act of stacking and nesting becomes an important learning experience that contributes to their overall cognitive growth. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

This morning, we spent time with Christian as he played with magnetic people 😊. He made a circle of friends and shared their names with us. Engaging in imaginative play like this supports children's social and language development. Activities that encourage creativity help them express themselves and connect with others. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

After spending some time with Ryder, We practised fine motor skills, sorted shapes and colours, and took turns. These activities help children learn to make friends, play cooperatively, negotiate, and cope with disappointment, important skills for their social development. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment
