Last week, Bachem had the honor of participating in the renowned Swiss Technology Award, a platform celebrating groundbreaking innovations. 🌟 We are proud to have been finalists with our MCSGP technology (Multicolumn – Countercurrent – Solvent – Gradient – Purification), a key innovation for resource-efficient purification of peptides and oligonucleotides on an industrial scale. This technology reflects our dedication to sustainability and innovation in pharmaceutical production. This week, we held a CEO roundtable at Bubendorf with Thomas Meier and the “Women in Bachem” (WIB) network. Formed in January 2023, WIB unites women across Bachem to share experiences, foster leadership, and drive change. The focus of the roundtable? Diversity. A key topic was the gender gap. In a traditionally male-dominated industry, WIB members highlighted the courage needed to voice their perspectives. Honest dialogue is crucial for revealing blind spots, embracing diverse viewpoints, and driving innovation — ultimately making diversity a core part of our everyday work. Highlighted was as well the importance of balancing family and career, and how networking empowers professional growth. Heute fand der Nationale Zukunftstag in der ganzen Schweiz statt und bot Bachem eine spannende Gelegenheit, die Welt der Chemie der nächsten Generation näherzubringen. In Vionnaz und Bubendorf durften wir 29 neugierige Kinder im Alter von 10 bis 12 Jahren begrüssen. Der Tag begann mit einer abwechslungsreichen Tour wo die Kinder Einblicke in unsere Abläufe und chemischen Bereiche erhielten. Nach einem Vormittag voller Entdeckungen begleiteten sie am Nachmittag ihre Eltern bei der Arbeit und bekamen so die Gelegenheit, den Arbeitsalltag der Erwachsenen hautnah mitzuerleben. Der Zukunftstag war ein voller Erfolg! Wir haben viele neugierige Fragen beantwortet, einige staunende Gesichter gesehen und vielleicht sogar den Grundstein für die nächste Generation von Naturwissenschaftler gelegt. 🌱🔬 ------------------- National Future Day took place across Switzerland today, providing Bachem with an exciting opportunity to introduce the next generation to the world of chemistry. In Vionnaz and Bubendorf, we welcomed 29 curious children aged 10 to 12. The day began with a varied tour where the children were given an insight into our processes and chemical areas. After a morning full of discoveries, they accompanied their parents to work in the afternoon, giving them the opportunity to experience the day-to-day work of adults firsthand. The Future Day was a complete success!
